Veteran Hong Kong comedian Ricky Hui, one of three famous Hui brothers who ruled Hong Kong cinema in the 1970s and the 1980s with blockbuster comedies including THE PRIVATE EYES (1976), SECURITY UNLIMITED (1981) and MR. VAMPIRE (1985), has died of a heart attack. He was 65.
He was reportedly found dead at his Hong Kong home on Tuesday night by his brother Stanley Hui. Ricky Hui had a pacemaker and had been looking frail on Monday. A friend of his raised the alarm after no one answered the door at his home in Kowloon Tong on Tuesday.
During his heydays, Ricky Hui used to star alongside with his brothers, comedian Michael and singer Sam.
