I know for the past two IRON MAN movies, a lot of die-hard fans have been anticipating the big screen arrival of Iron Man's ultimate nemesis, Mandarin. But during a recent Long Beach Comic Con, IRON MAN 3 director Shane Black (2005's KISS KISS BANG BANG), who replaced original helmer Jon Favreau, has calling Mandarin a "racist caricature". Looks like he's not really keen to introduce Mandarin as the next villain in IRON MAN 3... or is he?
At this stage, it's hard to say though. Apparently Black refused to name a villain that he and co-writer Drew Pearce came up with for the third movie. That aside, die-hard fans will be happy that Gwyneth Paltrow and Don Cheadle will reprise their roles as Pepper Potts and Rhoades, respectively. However, don't be expecting Scarlett Johansson making her return as Black Widow, though.
Whatever it is, I really hope Shane Black can do justice to the die-hard fans of giving a worthy villain to battle against Iron Man.
